Week of January 31

Ok so this week was an interesting one... Tuesday, February 1st, my school had the OAKS writing test... Since I had already passed it as a freshman I didn't have to go to school until 10:40... It was pretty blissful... If only that could happen everyday. I slept in until 8 :)
On Thursday, I went to my first ever wrestling meet... It was pretty intense. Once you get over the singlets, it's a really fun sport to watch. We totally crushed Southridge :) It made me happy.
Friday, we had Jam the Gym. That's the biggest basketball game of the season that EVERYONE goes to. But this year we lost :( 41-39... So disappointing. Oh well.
Today, I have my SAT Prep class and then I'm going to a dance in Beaverton. It's gonna be fun :)

Oh my goodness... it's been 4 years since i've written anything in here. Well, here's a brief summary of the last four years....

2008: I was in my freshman year i believe... made some great friends, had a fairly successful year in school and soccer. Typical freshman year.

2009: A year that was better than 2008. Broke some hearts, finished freshman year, played soccer in the summer, went to Yellowstone with the family, get my braces off :D, started sophomore year, played soccer in the fall, fell for another boy, had my 16th birthday party, got to go on some dates, all in all the best year yet. I think my baby sister was born this year...

2010: got my patriarchal blessing :), finished sophomore year, went to "prom", played soccer in the summer, went to Utah for a week and stayed with my cousins, read some amazing books :), started junior year, three AP classes (i'm insane!), got my permit.... turned 17, got my car :), played soccer in the fall, read even more amazing books, got better at piano, sang in front of some people (a first), learned lots of new stuff, and finished the year off very nicely with the best New Years dance ever :)

2011: a working progress.... Here we go :)

Thanksgiving!

ok this thanksgiving was just like all the other ones in the past except for the fact that Dad and my uncle didn't have their usual ping pong battle. Normally they have this HUGE blowout battle which ends with them yeling at each other which we can hear all the way back at the house. Just kidding. They don't normally scream at each other they just talk trash. Well, TaTa was being a spaz as usual. Dad had him in lock down and kept saying "Can I ask you a question?" and TaTa would say "No." in all these funny ways and my aunt would start cackling. She thinks he's so cute. isn't she mistakin'. Jk. Of course he is! He's related to me! lol jk. Sorry about the IM lingo. it just makes things easier. Dad watched "The Bucket List" tonight. I watched part of it and it seemed a little strange. But then again.... Aren't all the movies Dad watches strange? Mom is doing something different this year. She's Christmas shopping online! I think we've moved into the 21st century! AT LAST! jk. Some more lingo for yah. Oh I almost forgot! I cleaned my room tonight. It looks "gohgeous". *for once* :-)
I also watched "Stardust" last night. It was a little strange but I liked it. I like the ending. I mean the very end. Like the last line. So yeah. a good movie if you're really bored. :-) this movie was kind of like a celebration for the end of finals. They were this week and I think i did pretty good considering that it was my first time to take 5 ridiculously long tests in two days. oh well. the stress is gone. Finally! YAY! :-D

Soccer

okay. so in case you didn't know, i'm going to be doing soccer in high school and this past week i've been doing the conditioning camp for three hours every day. It has been pretty crazy and a lot of hard work but i've made lots of new friends. I've become better friends with some of my old crew. They are all really cool people and they are really fun to hang out with. Tryouts are this next week. I'm hoping to make JV but I really don't care. well, just wanted to give you a heads up. Love you guys!

Buddies and Wild Waves

A couple of weeks ago, the 8th grade band @ my school got to go to the Music in the Park festival. Here's some pics of the bus ride up and during practice time and the concert itself.

Ah, what a funny guy. During the trip, he was in my group and he kept saying how real men don't say when they are cold. five minutes later, he gets out of the water and complains that he's FREEZING! Then he asks this other kid... "Do you want to hold me?" The kid freaks out and says no way. But just the way he said it got both me and mom cracking up. He's a funny dude.










Two of my really good friends. They weren't really friends before the trip but now they are I think. Love 'em both hugely. I'd go crazy without them.
